  17. <p>    "It's me on this album," says Gloria Estefan proudly of her
  18. hot new showcase Cuts Both Ways. Miami Sound Machine and its
  19. lead singer spice up the mainstream with their blend of salsa
  20. and pop, and her influence on last week's release is powerful.
  21. She wrote seven of its ten songs, and on the CD and cassette
  22. sings two of them in English and Spanish. Even if they don't
  23. understand the language, she says, "people should like getting
  24. two free songs."
